The Faucher-Douglas Golf Tournament at The Canadian received TCACF sponsorship (Wednesday, August 25, 2010). Hosted by, Lianne Laing from /A Morning, the tournament included a Million Dollar Shootout  and the participation of Senators Alumni and silent auction.

AID Program Raises $1.5M for Ottawa Pregnancy Centre

Thomas C. Assaly Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce the  completion of its second AID Program, with luxury Real Estate in the U.S., to raise a $1.5 million endowment fund and provide ongoing support through annual interest benefits to the First Place Pregnancy Centre of Ottawa.

Thomas G. Assaly, an accomplished negotiator, loving husband and father of eight children, founded the Assaly’s first Property Management Company. It managed all rental properties – a total of 5,000 units – for investors who purchased property through the Assaly Tax Shelter Program.

Tom also arranged all financing through the Government of Canada Immigrant and Investor Program (IIP), assisting the Accor Group (France) with their Novotel hotel, in Ottawa.

After working for six years with Novotel, Tom’s experience and expertise led him to develop Les Suites Hotel. The design and structure of Les Suites Hotel set a new standard for Ottawa apartment-hotels. Les Suites was able to compete with major hotel chains and consistently achieved one of the highest occupancy rates in Ottawa.

As CEO, Thomas G.
